Great Little Box Pursues Acquisitions as Path to Continue Business Growth through the Recession
April 13, 2009 — VANCOUVER, BC. In a strategic move to combat the economic slowdown, the Great Little Box Company (GLBC) today announced the acquisition of Parrot Label, a privately held label manufacturing company headquartered in Delta, BC.
The acquisition of Parrot Label is GLBC's fifth acquisition in six years. Since 2002, GLBC has strategically focused on increasing market share in the Canadian packaging industry. As one of the largest and most respected manufactures in BC, the Great Little Box Company has approached the economic downturn with an undeniable resolve to support customer needs and secure new business through a diverse range of products and technology. With the addition of this established name in label printing, GLBC now has the opportunity to add depth to existing customers and tap into new markets with greater manufacturing capabilities.
Robert Meggy, GLBC President adds, “This is an exciting next step for Great Little Box. This acquisition will make us one of the premiere label manufacturers in town. In this industry you have to innovate faster than competition can imitate. Continuing to grow our business, even during a recession offers opportunities for our staff and benefits for our customers.”
